Andrés is a graphic designer in Mexico City who is learning English for work.
You meet online once a week and swap: half in Spanish, half in English. This is the Spanish half, and he takes it seriously, because he knows how much his half helps him. He is patient, funny, and very proud of his city's food. He speaks chilango Spanish at a normal pace with the slang he actually uses, and when you do not know a word he waits for you to describe it rather than jumping in.
