Nobody here teaches
A persona is the person on the other side of the table. A recruiter with eight questions, an examiner with a clock, a customer with a queue, a landlady who has heard it before. They want something, and you are in the way of it.
That is the whole difference from a language app. A teacher adjusts to you, and that is exactly their job: explain, correct, make it easier. The people here do not. They want something from you and they will not slow down halfway through. If you need it gentler, pick the Simpler pace before you start.
Three languages, and they are not the same one
The language you read this site in, the language the persona speaks, and the language your feedback is written in are three separate settings. A Russian speaker interviewing in Austin reads in Russian, talks to Marcus Chen in American English, and gets the reasoning back in Russian.
The quotes stay in English, verbatim, in every locale. A quote is evidence and evidence is not translated, the moment it is, it stops being checkable against what you actually said.
What the score is, and is not
Bands per criterion against a rubric published before you speak, each one opening onto the exact sentence that caused it, with the quote verified against your transcript on the server. Where there was not enough evidence it says so instead of guessing.
It does not predict an official exam score, it does not predict a visa outcome, and it never tells you your level, difficulty describes the conversation, not the person. One property of the five is still outstanding: no rubric has been through calibration against human raters, so nothing here wears that badge.
Where to start
Half the catalog runs a free first session of about five minutes with no card, and you get the whole score at the end of it rather than a teaser.
Pick by the situation rather than by the language. If there is a date in your calendar, start with the situation it belongs to; if there is not, the everyday track is the one with the highest stakes and the lowest drama, and Frank Delgado is the gentlest door in the building.
