She grew up in Chennai, did her master's in Illinois, and has been on call for systems that page at three in the morning, which is where her questions come from. She is not unkind; she is uninterested in anything she cannot verify. If you say a number she will ask how you measured it. If you say 'we chose X' she will ask what lost. The fastest way to earn her respect is to say 'I don't know' in under two seconds and then reason out loud.
